Terms of service

By accessing or using Protocolens (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

These Terms constitute a binding legal agreement between you and Protocolens ("we," "us," or "our"). We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We will notify registered users of material changes by email and in-app notice.

Protocolens is a personal health data aggregation, tracking, and education platform. The Service allows you to connect data sources (wearables, scales, nutrition apps), upload medical documents, log personal health protocols, and view aggregated data, trends, and observational insights.

The Service is not a medical device, not a clinical diagnostic tool, and not a healthcare provider. We are not a HIPAA-covered entity. The Verdict, Insights, and all content generated by the Service are observational, educational, and non-diagnostic.

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this age requirement. The Service is not intended for use by persons under the age of 18.

You must create an account to access most features. You agree to provide accurate, complete, and current information, and to keep your account credentials confidential. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or misuse the Service.

The Service offers a Free tier and paid subscription tiers (Pro, Premium). Paid subscriptions are billed on a monthly or annual basis via Stripe, our payment processor. All prices are in USD unless otherwise stated.

Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date. You may cancel at any time from your billing settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not offer prorated refunds for partial periods, except as required by applicable law or within 14 days of annual plan purchase (first purchase only).

We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice. Price changes do not affect active annual plans until renewal.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws or regulations.
• Upload content that infringes the intellectual property rights of others.
• Use the Service to facilitate the sale, distribution, or procurement of controlled substances or prescription medications without valid authorization.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the Service.
• Use automated tools to scrape, harvest, or extract data from the Service without our express written permission.
• Misrepresent your identity or impersonate any person or entity.
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.

We collect and store health-related data as described in our Privacy Policy. Your health data is stored with owner-only Row Level Security — no other user can access it.

We do not sell your health data. We do not share your health data with advertisers. We do not use your health data to serve you behavioral advertising. The authenticated app contains zero third-party advertising or analytics pixels. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

You may export or delete your data at any time from account settings. Upon account deletion, your data is removed from production systems within 30 days and from backups within 90 days.

THE SERVICE DOES NOT PROVIDE MEDICAL ADVICE. Nothing in the Service — including the Verdict, Insights, trend data, or educational content — constitutes medical advice, a diagnosis, or a treatment recommendation. The Service is for personal, educational, and informational purposes only.

Many compounds tracked in the Service are not FDA-approved and are sold as research chemicals. Some are banned in competitive sport under WADA regulations. It is your responsibility to understand the legal and regulatory status of any compound in your jurisdiction and to consult a licensed healthcare provider before use.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, PROTOCOLENS IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

The Service, including its design, code, content, and trademarks, is owned by Protocolens and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written permission.

You retain ownership of your health data and any content you upload. By uploading content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process and store that content to provide the Service to you.

The Service integrates with third-party platforms including Whoop, Withings, MyFitnessPal, and Apple Health. Your use of these integrations is subject to the respective platform's terms of service and privacy policy. We are not responsible for the practices or policies of third-party platforms.

Whoop data is live-fetched and stored only as derived metrics, consistent with Whoop's API Terms of Service.

You may close your account at any time from account settings. We may suspend or terminate your account if you materially breach these Terms, with or without notice, depending on severity. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms shall be resolved by binding arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association (AAA), except for claims that qualify for small claims court. You waive the right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration.
